One of Mortimer Adler’s most popular books, How to Read a Book: The Classic Guide to Intelligent Reading, gives tips on how to read fiction and nonfiction books. The guide places much of its focus on nonfiction works, but a chapter of the book is dedicated to imaginative literature.
